Dr. Manfra was born and raised near Pasadena, California, and attended St. Francis High School. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Loyola Marymount University and subsequently served as a research associate in a genetics laboratory focused on age-related macular degeneration. His professional experience includes work as an EMT with Schaefer Ambulance Company serving the greater Los Angeles area, as well as participation on the specialized emergency transport team at Children’s Hospital of Los Angeles—experiences that provided a strong foundation in patient care and clinical responsibility.
Dr. Manfra completed his doctorate at Western University College of Optometry. His educational career includes Dean’s List recognition, clinical rotations at a VA hospital in Louisiana, vision therapy training in San Diego, and experience in ophthalmology clinics throughout Southern California.
